Yes. The Hammock Coast has plenty of large vacation homes and group-friendly rentals with multiple bedrooms, spacious living areas, and outdoor gathering spaces perfect for reunions, weddings, or multi-family vacations.

The closest airport is Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), located about 30–45 minutes from most Hammock Coast destinations. MYR offers nonstop flights from major U.S. cities and is served by several major and low-cost airlines.

Georgetown County Airport (GGE) is a general aviation airport for private planes and chartered flights.

Yes! In addition to Myrtle Beach International (MYR), travelers can also fly into Charleston International Airport (CHS) – approximately 1.5 hours south, or Florence Regional Airport (FLO) – approximately 1.5 hours inland.

South Carolina’s Hammock Coast is easily reached by car via U.S. Highway 17, with convenient access from Interstate 95 and Interstate 26. The region is just a few hours’ drive from cities such as Asheville, Columbia, and Greenville in South Carolina; Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington in North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Roanoke, Virginia; and more.

Yes! Rental cars are available at nearby airports, including Myrtle Beach International. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft operate in the area, though availability may be limited in some rural or residential areas, so a rental car is often recommended for maximum flexibility.
