South Carolina’s Hammock Coast® is home to some of the Palmetto State’s finest restaurants and this Thanksgiving many of them are going to be serving “Turkey Day” favorites with a Lowcountry flair.

In fact, there are plenty of Thanksgiving Day dining options available all along the Hammock Coast.

But a word to the wise – reservations are often a must.

Below is a look at who’s serving up some fantastic selections for your delicious Thanksgiving feast. The restaurants featured here are all members of the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. Whether you’re a visitor to South Carolina’s Hammock Coast or a local resident, these restaurants offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a truly spectacular holiday meal with those you love and hold dear.

Local Eat Drink Celebrate
Thursday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Local Eat Drink Celebrate, located at 10880 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island, is a popular Pawleys Island restaurant offering brunch, dinner, craft beers, and locally sourced Lowcountry cuisine in a community‑focused setting. It is offering a full menu on Thanksgiving Day, as well as some great Thanksgiving-inspired features. In addition to She Crab Soup and Shrimp Cocktail available, the day’s special menu will include Thanksgiving-inspired desserts of pecan and pumpkin pie. Get Carried Away Southern Takeout
Taking orders from Nov. 2 to Nov. 20

Get Carried Away Southern Takeout, popular in Pawleys Island, with a new location in Georgetown, and maker of the iconic Palmetto Cheese, is taking Thanksgiving orders from Oct. 9 to Nov. 18. Get Carried Away offers a host of Southern-style sides to complete your holiday meal. Oven roasted Turkey Breast (10-14 pounds) is first come first serve. Orders are pre-pay only. Sides are available in medium and large sizes, as well as pint and quart sizes, and by the dozen, depending on the side. They include squash casserole, mac-and-cheese, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, collard greens, cranberry sauce, Southern-style green beans, turkey gravy, yeast rolls, homemade biscuits, and homemade cheese biscuits. They also have breakfast items and desserts available.

Litchfield Country Club Thanksgiving Dinner
Thursday, Nov. 26, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Litchfield Country Club will host a Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 26, from noon to 3 p.m. The menu includes roasted salmon, glazed ham, roasted turkey, prime rib, butternut squash bisque, tomato florentine soup, broccoli salad, fruit salad, pear and apple slaw, pasta salad, shrimp cocktail, sweet potato souffle, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, dressing, green bean casserole, seasonal mixed vegetables, fresh baked bread and rolls, homemade cranberry sauce, assorted cakes and pies, and sugar-free and gluten-free options. The meal is $44.95 for adults and $22.95 for children ages 4 to 12, and $35.95 for Litchfield Country Club members. Reservations are required.

Pawleys Tap House & Grill Thanksgiving Dinner
Thursday, Nov. 26, with seatings from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner with the staff at Pawleys Tap House and Grill, the only self-pour taproom on the Hammock Coast, with 40 self-pour beer taps, delicious craft cocktails and a menu consisting of homemade favorites. It also offers an onsite catering room for special events as well as offsite catering. We will begin seating at 11:30 a.m. with the last seating at 3 p.m.

The dinner will include turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac-n-cheese, cranberry sauce, green beans, sweet potato casserole, cornbread, and a choice of apple or pumpkin pie. Wahoo’s Fish House and Bovine’s Thanksgiving Buffet
Thursday, Nov. 26, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Murrells Inlet is the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and Wahoo’s Fish House and Bovine’s, sister restaurants that are two of the famed MarshWalk’s most popular restaurants, will host a Seafood and Traditional Thanksgiving Buffet from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The buffet will include a carving station with roasted or fried turkey, honey-baked ham, carved prime rib, roast pork tenderloin with apple chutney; a hot food station with fried fish, fried shrimp, baked barbecued salmon, cornbread stuffing, giblet gravy, sweet potato soufflé, whipped potatoes, sweet corn pudding, mac and cheese, slow-braised collards, glazed baby carrots, green bean casserole, vegetable medley and hushpuppies; a cold food station with peel-and-eat shrimp, cheese, fruit and crackers, coleslaw, macaroni salad, potato salad, cranberry sauce, smoked salmon and house-tossed salad; and a dessert bar with pecan pie, pumpkin pie, banana pudding, cheese cake, brownies, strawberry shortcake and ice cream with toppings.

Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Cost is $48.95 for adults, $15.95 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under dine for free. Wicked Tuna Thanksgiving Feast
Thursday, Nov. 26, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Wicked Tuna in Murrells Inlet is combining some of its signature seafood offerings with a traditional Thanksgiving smorgasbord. In addition to the stunning views Wicked Tuna enjoys along the MarshWalk, diners will feast on a raw bar that offers raw oysters, peel-and-eat shrimp, shrimp cocktail, clams and mussels.

The more traditional offerings will include roasted turkey, prime rib and ham, along with grilled salmon, shrimp and grits and a fresh local catch. Thanksgiving “trimmings” will feature mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, sweet potato souffle, collard greens, green bean casserole and much more. Throw in kids favorites such as chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp and cheeseburger sliders, along with a dessert bar full of “wicked” sweets and treats, and the Wicked Tuna buffet will have something for everyone. Free Thanksgiving Day meals

Aunny’s Country Kitchen, Georgetown
Free Thanksgiving Day meal for the community
Thursday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Aunny’s Country Kitchen is an iconic Hammock Coast restaurant that annually offers a free Thanksgiving meal. Located in historic Georgetown at 926 Front St., Aunny’s meal is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.

The Rev. Charles and Andrea “Aunny” Johnson and their staff, as well as dozens of volunteers from local churches and organizations, will come together to offer the meal to anyone who would like to join them. Over the years, the meal has been enjoyed by locals, tourists and even visitors arriving in Georgetown by boat. While the meal is always free, donations are accepted. Aunny’s will serve favorite holiday items including turkey (baked or fried), fried chicken, ham, corn, collard greens, candied yams, butter beans, stuffing, white or yellow rice and desserts at the restaurant. Free Thanksgiving Day meal for the community
Thursday, Nov. 26, from noon to 3 p.m.

Lowcountry Community Church of Murrells Inlet will host its annual free Thanksgiving Day meal (PROJECT N.O.A.H.) at thew church, 4430 Murrells Inlet Road, Murrells Inlet, is Thursday, Nov. 26, from noon until 3 p.m. PROJECT N.O.A.H. stands for No One Alone on the Holiday.
