7 Aug Great lineup set for three weeks of Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art Another amazing season of concerts is planned for the Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art, a Hammock Coast® must-do event for more than three decades. This year’s event will be held over a nearly three-week span, from Oct. 3-19 at the Reserve Club in Pawleys Island. Country breakout group Runaway June will kick off the three-week Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art with a concert on Oct. 4 at The Reserve. Featured performers include breakout country sensation Runaway June; Motown great Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes; and Americana Bluegrass’ Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn. They will be joined by several popular tributes, including Rick Lindy’s Tribute to Roy Orbison and Rumours: The Fleetwood Mac Tribute. The final weekend highlights crossover tenor Anthony Nunziata; London’s West End; The Barricade Boys; and rock ‘n’ roll through the years with Groovin’ on Tour. “I believe this year’s lineup of entertainers is one of our best to date,” said Festival Director Susan Bryant. “Ticket sales have already been brisk. We couldn’t be more pleased.” Before the concerts begin, though, PIFMA gets started with one of the region’s most anticipated events – the Pawleys Island Wine and Food Gala, held on Oct. 3 at the Reserve Club. The gala offers attendees a chance to sample more than 65 wines from renowned vineyards around the world and enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by the area’s best chefs. The evening will also include live music, delicious desserts, a silent auction full of wonderful items and a complimentary wine glass. Wines will also be available for purchase at prices well below retail during this special event. Casual cocktail attire is recommended. Event held rain or shine.
