4 Sep Pawleys Island sister golf courses to host 14th annual Golfweek Fall Challenge For the 14th consecutive year, teams from across the country are flocking to Pawleys Island on South Carolina’s Hammock Coast® to begin their season in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club. Eighteen women’s teams will compete at Caledonia while 15 men’s teams will tee it up at True Blue in the 54-hole events that will be played Sept. 8-10. Both courses are ranked among the top five public layouts in golf-rich South Carolina, providing an ideal spot for teams to begin their 2024-25 seasons. Austin State University; University of South Carolina Upstate; Wright State University; and Stetson University. On the women’s side, defending champion University of North Carolina Wilmington is back to defend its title against Florida Atlantic University; Stephen F. Caledonia was the legendary Strantz’s first solo design, and it captured the attention of the golf world, earning “Best New Course in America” honors upon its 1994 opening, and its reputation has only grown. The layout plays through a stunning piece of the Lowcountry property, featuring soaring live oak trees draped in Spanish moss and the marshy waters of the Waccamaw Neck. True Blue offers a different but equally riveting experience.
