Festival Preferred-Rate Accommodations 

Birding Festival Accommodations

Hammock Coast accommodations partners have provide discounted or special rates or have set aside a block of rooms only for those registered for the Hammock Coast Birding Festival. Those partners are listed below. All of these accommodations are in the Pawleys Island-Litchfield Beach-Murrells Inlet areas of Georgetown County, which is where we highly recommend that you stay as this will be the most centrally located area for all festival excursions and events. Staying to the north in Myrtle Beach is not recommended, as it will add considerable time to your driving times. Inlet Sports Lodge

Inlet Sports Lodge is located in the historic fishing village of Murrells Inlet, SC, minutes away from Pawleys Island and Litchfield Beach and about a 30-minute drive to historic Georgetown. The Inlet Sports Lodge is coastal South Carolina’s newest upscale hotel created by outdoor enthusiasts especially for those who love outdoor activities, or simply want a quiet, luxurious getaway from the hustle and bustle. It is only minutes from Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park, the MarshWalk and other key attractions on South Carolina’s Hammock Coast. To qualify for one of the Lodge’s special blocks of rooms for the festival, you must call the Lodge directly at 1-877-585-9360 and tell a reservationist that you’re registering for the Hammock Coast Birding Festival. Only a select number of rooms at the Lodge have been set aside for the Birding Festival. (The cost is $129 for Thursday, Feb. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 11, and $139 for Friday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, Feb. 11. Additional taxes and fees will apply, as well.) Caroline at the Inlet Sports Lodge is a good contact for you at the Lodge, but any of the front-desk staff will be able to assist. The Inlet Sports Lodge has been a great supporter of the Hammock Coast Birding Festival, and we thank them so much for taking care of our festival goers!

Hampton Inn, Pawleys Island

This hotel in the Litchfield community of Pawleys Island is centrally located on the Hammock Coast. Rooms include a complimentary breakfast. After Dec. 8, 2023, you can make reservations of the 2024 Birding Festival. For the 2024 Festival, Hampton Inn in Pawleys Island is offering a discounted rate of $139, plus tax, per night. You should call the hotel directly at 843-235-2000 and ask for the Hammock Coast Birding Festival special rate. Hampton Inn Pawleys Island is only minutes from Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park and the beaches of the Hammock Coast – and directly down the street from the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce office, where you will pick up your welcome packets. General Manager Parker Fox set up the special rate, and we thank him for his continued support of the Hammock Coast Birding Festival.

Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort, Pawleys Island

Welcoming guests for the past seven decades, the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort is made up of myriad vacation homes and condos. Resort amenities include a restaurant, bar, Starbucks, an indoor pool and more. Centrally located in the Litchfield Beach area of Pawleys Island, the resort will offer festival attendees a discounted rate, which will be announced soon. The resort is offering special birding festival rates at oceanfront condos, beach homes, water-view homes and even golf accommodations. South Carolina’s Hammock Coast has myriad accommodations available — beachfront homes and condos, marsh view condos and homes, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and more. You name it, we have it. We do recommend you stay in the Pawleys Island, Litchfield Beach, Murrells Inlet areas, as this is centrally located to many of the activities especially Friday and Saturday evening dinners. It is not recommend that you stay to the north in the Myrtle Beach area, as that will put you much too far out from activities and tours.
