Getting There

Whether you and your guests will be driving, flying or riding the rails into Savannah, getting here is a breeze.

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)

Thanks to a new terminal, more seating capacity and a larger list of available destinations, Myrtle Beach International Airport sees a growing number of passengers each year, and the number of visitors flying to the Hammock Coast is increasing. Direct flights are available from larger cities, such as Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Seven airlines serve the airport, including Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Porter Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, along with nine rental car brands.

Charleston International Airport (CHS)

Located in North Charleston, about 19 miles from the City of Charleston and about 75 miles from the Hammock Coast, this airport is a great option for air travel to your dream vacation. The largest and busiest airport in South Carolina, Charleston International Airport saw nearly 5 million passengers in 2018. Nine airlines serve the airport, including British Airways (with direct flights to the UK), Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, JetBlue, American Eagle, United, United Express, and Southwest, along with eight rental car brands.

Georgetown County Airport (GGE)

The county’s local municipal airport can accommodate smaller planes and jets. It is the county-owned, public-use airport located at 129 Airport Road, south of Georgetown, just outside the city limits on U.S. Highway 17. Nearly 150 flights are logged at the airport each day.
